Martin Luther King Jr.

Marin Luther King was beyond a doubt one of the most influential people in modern history, he was pivotal in the battle for civil rights.  He was just moving into fighting poverty for all people, of every race, when he was killed.
He was a man who shaped the future and was not shaped by it.
I am old enough to remember when he was killed.  It was devastating then and it still affects people today.  I have sat in the little church in Atlanta where he preached in and you could almost still feel his presence.
Racism is the scourge of humanity and is still one of the greatest evils of all time.
