Armistice Day....

Am armistice is a formal agreement to end hostilities.  On the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 fighting in WW1 officially stopped after Germany signed an agreement with the Allies.

In 1954 President Eisenhower signed legislation that changed Armistice Day to Veterans Day.  It isn't a holiday, it's a day of remembrance of those who lost so much in wars past and present....
